For 11th graders; one 4-hour session
This course is for students who want a short but intensive class to prepare them for the math portion of the ACT. Students will take one timed, full-length, real ACT test (math only). During the session, in addition to studying the solutions to the questions on the practice test, students will review all necessary ACT math content (including trigonometry concepts that are beyond the scope of the SAT) and will learn the many problem-solving techniques and calculator short cuts crucial for success on the ACT. Each student will receive individual attention: advice about how to best approach the test will be tailored to each student’s strengths and weaknesses.
Section A and Section B, on January 4 and January 12, are especially appropriate for students taking the February 8 ACT or the April 5 ACT.
Section C and Section D, on March 22 and March 23, are especially appropriate for students taking the April 5 ACT or the June 14 ACT.
